From Federal Government to Ray White Cottesloe I Mosman Park

By Simone Raszyk

FOR SOME, the match between an employee and employer is simply meant to be, but for former scientist Jen Lowe, the chemistry with Ray White was too hard to resist.

With a PhD in science from Curtin University, having worked under the Howard Government and carried out research at Australia’s only nuclear reactor in Sydney, Dr Jen Lowe joins Ray White Cottesloe I Mosman Park as a Sales Executive.

“I started my career as a Research Scientist working in an academic environment, and I really engaged with public service during this time, sitting on a number of committees at the university,” Dr Lowe said.

This led ultimately to her transition to real estate.

“Property has always been in my DNA and I used to attend open homes just for fun. It gave me the chance to look at different properties, see how people lived, the different designs and styles, and the architecture of an area,” she said.

“From Research Scientist I moved into politics where I was Science Advisor in the Howard Government, but once they were removed from power, my career took a different direction and I worked in business development in engineering.

“I just didn’t have the love for it that I do for property, so I decided to make the move into real estate and started my career in a boutique office in Perth’s western suburbs, around 11 years ago.

“From there I worked with someone very successful to build my profile, before moving back to an independent role.”

An avid reader of Vogue Living Magazine as a child, Jen said there were a number of reasons why she decided to join Australasia’s biggest real estate group.

“Joining the Ray White Group gives me the ability to offer a ‘next level’ of service to my clients,” she said.

“There are highly skilled people looking after all facets of the company, and the excellent level of professionalism in the back end means clients are superbly looked after.

“I also love the integrity and family values of the group, and the fact they continuously make the effort to ensure everyone within the company feels valued and supported.

“I believe my point of difference emanates from my time in science. This background allows me to be analytical, methodical and execute plans well, because that’s how I was trained.

“I plan on increasing market share in my core area around Subiaco and Shenton Park, and building strong and cohesive partnerships with my Ray Whilte colleagues to deliver great service across the western suburbs.”

Ray White Owner/Director Cottesloe I Mosman Park Jody Fewster said she was pleased to have such an accomplished person join the team.

“We’re really excited to have a sales executive of Jen’s calibre join our ranks and I’m really looking forward to her working with the wider team,” Ms Fewster said.

“Jen’s not only highly intelligent and deeply knowledgeable of the Subiaco and Shenton Park areas, but she’s also warm and approachable, and displays the values of professionalism and integrity that’s so important to our company.”
